Please submit your resume and cover letter in one file (PDF or Word) and upload using only the ‘Resume’ feature within the application prior to 11:59 pm on August 14, 2025.How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:The Coordinator, Community Outreach & Education is responsible for supporting the development, and coordination of assigned education, training and/or community-based programs, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders to effectively advance TRCA’s strategic goals.Major Responsibilities:• Organizes the logistics (such as, scheduling, purchasing, and financial tracking), communications, and plans for the execution of education and community engagement programs, projects and events• Develops and delivers a variety of innovative events and program to engage diverse audiences• Coordinates and delivers workshops, programs, outreach, day camps, training and/or other types of educational activities in various forms, including community, school, business and other stakeholder settings• Monitors, reports and tracks metrics related to event and program deliverables, while undertaking research into industry best practices• Meets with internal and external stakeholders as required to support the execution of education and training and community outreach programs and events• Coordinates events working in conjunction with Marketing, Communications & Events as required• Designs and delivers tailored marketing and promotion including letters, flyers, signage, website, and social media content• Supports financial tracking and reporting as well as sustainability of metricsWhat will you need to succeed:Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Museum Studies, History or related field.• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening. Employees/candidates under the age of eighteen (18) years are not eligible to have a VSS, therefore will not be required.• Valid Ontario Class G2 driver's license.Experience• 2+ years of experience providing program coordinator or administration• Experience delivering educational museum or non-school programsKnowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies• Knowledge of Ontario history and best practices in programming• Able to comprehend written documentation and procedural guidelines; skilled in writing clear correspondence (concise, logical, grammatically correct)• Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate project status for various audiences• Ability to engage with partners and the public and communicate effectively with tact and courtesy• Understanding and application of basic mathematical functions (e.g., adding, subtracting, measuring, money computation)• Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines• Demonstrates responsiveness to internal and external customer requests and needs• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify problems in a timely manner, seeking the appropriate level of support to solve issues• Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, and SharePoint, and proficiency in digital content tools, including Canva and Sprout Social.
