Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Capital Projects, the Project Manager will coordinate, track and report on small-scale construction, redevelopment and program development projects. This position will perform duties at both the West Haldimand General Hospital (WHGH) in Hagersville, Ontario, and Norfolk General Hospital (NGH) in Simcoe, Ontario.

DUTIES
1. Work with the Director to develop and execute project plans for multiple/simultaneous small-scale construction, redevelopment and program development projects for the two hospitals.
2. Work with multiple hospital staff, external consultants and contractors to coordinate and schedule the completion of project work including but not limited to staging of construction work, closure of areas within the hospital and shutdowns of utilities.
3. Provide project management leadership to staff, including the development and use of standard communication and reporting tools and processes for key stakeholders.
4. Coordinate and report on all aspects of a project including; scope, budget, schedule, operational coordination, stakeholder engagement/concerns, risk, and project issues.
5. Prepare and present on project documentation, including proposals, project plans, budgets, meeting agendas, and decks.
6. Provide strategies for risk mitigation and resolution where appropriate.
7. Work co-operatively with the maintenance teams to ensure that facility standards are being met, training is properly coordinated, and warranties are appropriately managed.
8. Work with the purchasing team to ensure that appropriate procurement procedures are being followed throughout the project.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. A minimum of three or more (3+) years of related experience in construction project management.
2. A Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction, or related area of study. Project Management certification considered a definite asset.
3. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
4. Prior experience in hospitals and health care a definite asset.
5. Strong organization and multi-tasking skills required.
6. Experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
7. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
8. Excellent analytical skills.
9. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to produce reports and meet scheduling deadlines.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Ability to synthesize and present information in a concise manner.
