Dawson Groupis looking for a collaborative SeniorAccountant who will be the direct liaison between the Finance andOperations teams. In this role you will be a valued member of DawsonGroup, working in a permanent, full-time position ofSenior Accountant,reportingto theDirector of Finance. The seasonality of the business willrequire you to understand the cycles and plan accordingly. This role willbe responsible for performing full cycle accounting and month-end tasks forDawson Road Maintenance, a business within Dawson Group. Thisincludes preparation of required accounting entries, account reconciliations,monthly financial statement preparation, completion of budgets, forecasts andrelated variance analysis.Your base location will be in Kamloops,B.C.; however, Dawson Group embraces distributed work, meaning thesuccessful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home. // Click here to learn more about Dawson Group WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Actas the primary financial contact for the operations team, includingmonthly financial reviews and supporting operational goals Analyzejob margins, contracts, change orders, billings, job costs, and inventory Leadbudgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Managefull cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries,financial statements, and reconciliations (GL, bank, and inter-company) Ensureaccurate revenue recognition and resolve issues with AP and otherdepartments Supportannual audits and contribute to ERP conversion and process improvements(asset) Preparead hoc financial reports and analysis as needed You will receive mentorship, guidance and opportunities toenhance your finance and accounting skills in a diversified, fast-pacedconstruction environment. You will work with other highly experiencedprofessionals and be part of a team dedicated to providing value added servicesto all operations groups and building on a track record of success. WHAT YOU BRING Bachelorof Business Degree or Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Minimum4 years of accounting experience CPApreferred; candidates in the final stages of their CPA may be considered ExceptionalExcel Skills including proficient use of pivot tables and formulas Strongverbal and written communication skills Abilityto work independently with minimal supervision Industryexperience in construction/manufacturing would be an asset BENEFITS Looking to be a key member of a well-establishedfamily-owned company?
