Actuarial Analyst III – Capital (4095) – TDJoin TD’s capital group in Montreal, Quebec, Canada as an Actuarial Analyst III. The role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range, reviewed annually.Work LocationMontreal, Quebec, Canada.Hours35 hours per week.Line of BusinessData & Analytics.Job DescriptionEconomic Capital (ECAP) ModellingMaintain, develop, and implement the internal model for calibrating economic capital requirements for TD Insurance General Insurance (TDI‑GI) legal entities.Ensure regulatory compliance with OSFI’s Guideline E‑19: Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).Support TD Reinsurance Barbados (TDRB) economic capital modelling.Financial Condition Testing (FCT)Maintain, develop, and implement the TDI‑GI FCT model, justifying base scenario, identifying risks, and calibrating adverse scenarios.Ensure compliance with Canadian ASOP and OSFI Annual Memorandum to the Appointed Actuary.Other Stress TestsSupport execution of TDBG stress testing program: Enterprise‑Wide Stress Testing and Macro Stress Testing for TDI‑GI under stressed scenarios.Ensure compliance with OSFI Guideline E‑18.Internal TargetProvide recommendations on internal target capital ratios for TDI‑GI legal entities based on ECAP, FCT, and other stress testing analysis.Ensure compliance with OSFI Guideline A‑4.ReportingPrepare and maintain results presentation decks and provide solid support and explanation of results.Prepare, validate, and deliver FCT reports on time.Support and guarantee delivery of FCT external peer review reports.Review and validate ORSA report.Ensure compliance with OSFI Guideline E‑15.Governance / MiscellaneousEnsure adequate governance, peer review, and challenge of the modelling process.Lead implementation of best practices, risk mitigation, and controls.Job RequirementsAnalytical/Technical SkillsStrong judgment and analytical mindset.Excellent problem‑solving skills.Anticipate results of analyses or reports.Thoroughness and quality of work.Initiative, creativity, and critical thinking.Experience with MS Excel (VBA) and programming languages such as R or Python.Capital modelling experience is an asset.Knowledge of IFRS 17 is an asset.Able to make good decisions quickly when required.Soft SkillsEffective communication in English, both verbal and written.Adaptability when engaging with stakeholders at different expertise levels.Ability to work under stress.Collaborates and builds positive relationships with business partners.Autonomous and perseverant.Professional RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or other quantitative area.Acquired or working towards an Associateship with the Casualty Actuarial Society, Canadian Institute of Actuaries, or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience.Who We AreAs part of TD Bank Group, TD Insurance cares for Canadian families, providing peace‑of‑mind protection and advocacy.
