Visit https://www.alberta.ca/technology-and-innovation for more information. Role Responsibilities Shape the Future of IT Reporting & Analytics with the Government of Alberta. Reporting to the IT Reporting & Relations Manager, this role delivers high-value reporting and analytics that provide visibility into procurement performance, contract health, and compliance. You will work closely with the IT Procurement team, stakeholders, and reporting partners to ensure data integrity and actionable insights in alignment with GoA policies and standards. Configure and maintain reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint to support IT procurement and contract reporting. Develop and automate dashboards and recurring reports to monitor procurement activity, cycle times, and performance trends. Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement. Document reporting methodologies and support auditability. Collaborate with the IT Procurement team to enhance processes, reporting standards, and metrics. Monitor procurement throughput, SLA adherence, and status using multiple reporting tools. Support cross‑GoA initiatives and contribute to standardized reporting practices. Ensure compliance with GoA document management, trade agreements, and policy requirements. Audit procurement files and ERP data for accuracy and completeness. Prepare evidence packages and support ATI and OAG audit responses. Partner with service owners and stakeholders to clarify data needs and present insights. Develop clear briefing materials for leadership. Mentor Reporting Officers on reporting tools, analytics, and audit readiness. Qualifications University graduation in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or Public Administration. At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contract management, or supplier relationship management. Experience with supplier/vendor management. Experience in strategy and policy planning, research, and development. Equivalencies: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience, or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education. Desired Assets: Diploma in procurement, contract management or Supply Chain Management. In‑depth knowledge of procurement, contract and supplier relationship management. Knowledge of Canadian Government procurement policies and legislation. Consultation and negotiation experience. Understanding of IT operations and project integration within ministry support. Experience with project management methodologies and IT service management (ITSM) systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SAP, and Ariba. Experience in mentorship and coaching. Strong presentation and training skills. Forward‑thinking with eagerness to leverage Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. Terms of Employment Permanent full‑time position. 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Remote across Alberta – candidates must reside in Alberta.
