Established in 1939, the Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund Board (ATRF) has provided exceptional administration for the teachers’ pension plans for Alberta for over 80 years. ATRF takes pride in delivering the highest quality service to more than 80,000 plan members.

Reporting to the Controller, Financial Analyst, Planning & Reporting assists in guiding ATRF’s financial planning and ongoing business management. Working closely with the Senior Financial Analyst, Planning and Reporting, this position is primarily responsible for providing strategic insights derived from financial analysis related to business performance, support in budget and forecast cycles, corporate business planning process, key performance indicators, and benchmarking.

**Qualifications, Experience and Capabilities**
- Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Diploma in Finance or Accounting;
- Three to five years of applicable work experience;
- Experience in audit and internal controls;
- Experience working in strategic management and business planning processes is desirable.
- Able to actively listen, seek information and ask questions to ensure the understanding of underlying concerns of others;
- Results-oriented, highly effective and efficient to manage competing demands;
- Able to effectively and efficiently gather relevant information from a range of sources.
- Strong understanding of the CPA Canada Handbook and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Familiar with process and continuous improvement methodologies and technologies.
