The team lives values of heart, respect, reliability, teamwork and innovation.In our Traumatic Psychological Injury program, Occupational Therapists work with clients such as first responders who’ve experienced workplace trauma, including in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioural activation, trauma processing, coping and return to function. Our approach incorporates evidence-based care and innovative interventions like virtual reality to promote mental health outcomes. This program offers a growing and niche space within our OT profession.In our Complex Auto program, OTs assess and treat clients with physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents in a community setting. You may perform in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment and other interventions to provide start-to-finish care for clients.Many OTs focus on one area of practice, while others enjoy a mixed caseload.
