Bilingual Disability Calculation Analyst

The National Life, Disability & Wellness Team is looking for a self‑motivated Bilingual Calculation Analyst, who thrives on delivering value, is customer‑obsessed, and is excited to work with a small yet dynamic team. They will have a good understanding of group disability contract language and the impact various sources of income have on disability benefits. Strong mathematical and negotiation skills are required. Position Responsibilities Calculate and code offsets and the adjusted LTD benefit in Navigator Inform Plan Member of the overpayment amount with clear explanations both verbally and in writing Follow‑up with Plan Member for reimbursement of overpayment and negotiate an acceptable repayment plan when necessary Proceed with claim recoveries in Navigator Collaborate with the Case Management teams to strengthen financial results Work closely with other colleagues to prioritize work especially during peak times Required Qualifications Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec Strong customer service focus; ability to be empathetic while delivering sometimes difficult messages Strong math skills Very comfortable with Office 365; most notably Excel and Word Able to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written Strong negotiation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Navigator is an asset Experience in disability benefit calculations is helpful Open to change and continuous improvement A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure When you join our team We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well‑being and inclusion are more than just words As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see About Manulife and John Hancock Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better. Referenced Salary Location CAN, Quebec – Full Time Remote Working Arrangement Remote Salary range is expected to be between $41,400.00 CAD – $69,000.00 CAD. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
