This is a unique opportunity to work across a variety of exciting projects, from shaping in-house products to supporting client hackathons and multiple business ventures.This dynamic role involves both product and graphic design, giving you the opportunity to create user-centred digital experiences, develop branding assets, and support client projects. You’ll partner with the Product Manager and Product Owner to align design with business goals and work closely with developers for design handoff. We are entrepreneurs at heart who love to experiment, build, and create.onova: a boutique innovation consultancy that helps large corporations innovate at the speed of startupsearth: an enterprise software designed to run hybrid innovation sprints and hackathons for large corporationsPokerGPT: The world’s first AI Poker CoachVSpace: Premier co-working space for early-stage founders, builders, freelancers, hackers, and creativesVClub: Premier social poker club for the ambitiousKey ResponsibilitiesProduct DesignLead the design efforts for one of our in-house products, creating user-centred experiences by using storyboards, process flows, and wireframes to improve and create new product features.Collaborate with the Product Manager and Product Owner to align design with business goals and user needs.Prototype, test, and refine high-fidelity prototypes based on user feedback and project requirements.Work closely with developers to ensure seamless design handoff and implementation.Ensure product usability and accessibility by conducting user testing and identify areas of improvement in our products.Graphic DesignHandle all branding, marketing, and visual design needs from the Onova and the founder’s additional business ventures.Develop creative assets, including logos, presentations, social media graphics, and promotional materials.Adapt and maintain a cohesive brand identity distinct to each venture.Support any client-related work with high-quality design assets and provide design expertise to existing design assetsRun design workshops with clients, ensuring their needs are met with creative and functional solutions.RequirementsHard SkillsStrong portfolio demonstrating excellent UI/UX and visual design skills across digital products and brandingExtremely proficient with FigmaProficient with the Adobe Creative Suite or similar design softwareFamiliar with the principles and processes of UX designCan create original vector designs, illustrations, flat icons, and logo designsKnowledgeable about the latest design best practices and emerging trends (has a strong eye for visual design and branding)Nice to have: Web development skills (HTML, CSS, Webflow, ReactJS)Soft SkillsExtremely receptive to feedback and has strong communication skillsEffective time management skills and highly organizedCan successfully manage multiple design projects adapting to different design styles and meet tight deadlinesAble to operate independently - can own the design process from ideation to executionHighly detail-oriented and has high standards for one's own work qualityEffectively adapts to external design expectationsExcited to take initiative and learn new design technical skills and softwareAdaptive to take on tasks beyond graphic design to support the teamSuccess FactorsStrong Growth Mindset & Receptiveness to Feedback – You actively seek opportunities to improve, embrace challenges, and quickly apply feedback to refine your approach and execution.Startup Hustle & Ownership Mentality – You take initiative, work proactively, and are willing to put in the effort required to make every hackathon a success.
