Environmental Technologist (Hazardous Materials Services)Labrador City, NLToday is the day to boost your career Pinchin is seeking an Environmental Technologist to join our Team in our Labrador City office.Environmental TechnologistLabrador City, NLToday is the day to boost your career Pinchin is seeking an Environmental Technologist to join our Team in our Labrador City office.Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Environmental Technologist will help execute a wide range of assigned field sampling programs such as water sampling, ambient air monitoring, worker exposure, workplace monitoring, safety inspections, hazardous materials sampling and audits. You will assist in developing various types of hygiene, health and safety documentation, prepare technical reports and liaise with clients to ensure their needs and goals are met.A Day in the life of an Environmental Technologist at Pinchin:In-House training (office & field) on sampling programs and procedures.Conduct onsite sampling for ambient air and water.Conduct site investigations – asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead etc.Conduct field work, including visits to sites and supervise remediation activitiesConduct Building Condition and Environmental Site AssessmentsInterpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelinesInvestigate, test and evaluate moisture and/or air penetration in the building envelopePrepare technical reportsSummarize, collate and interpret results and findings of field investigations and assessments for technical reportsPrepare drawings and construction review reportsManage time of projects effectively and efficientlyLiaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety and hygiene needs are addressed and metDevelop and maintain positive client relationshipsWhat You Bring To The Pinchin TeamStrong work ethicBe able to work independently and thrive in a team environment.Be tolerant of working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to follow detailed instructionsAbility to assist with report writingProficient with Microsoft Office ProductsAvailability to work outside our core business hours and rotational weekends (when needed)Valid driver’s licenseThere are times when employees are required by our clients to undergo security clearances and/or drug and alcohol testing in order to gain access to certain job sitesWhat’s In It For YouOf course, we offer competitive salaries and great benefits, but what makes Pinchin stand out from the crowd?
