Specific consulting services provided may include the following depending on the candidates’ interests and expertise: Identification and Management of Hazardous Materials Indoor Environmental Quality Assessment Services Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Services Radon Measurement and/or Mitigation Services Drinking Water Sampling Interpretation of laboratory sample results and compare to applicable legislation Preparation of Technical Reports Project Management and Coordination of Hazardous Material / Microbial Contamination Remediation Work Written and oral communication both within multi-disciplinary teams and with Clients. Project and proposal management, schedules, deliverables, and working as part of multi-disciplinary teams. Developing and maintaining relationships with Clients and sub-consultants/sub-contractors. Work during and outside of normal business hours, including some weekends and evenings, to meet project commitments. Travel for extended periods of time (1 to 2 weeks at a time). Other as assigned. What you’ll bring to WSP: Post-secondary degree or diploma in occupational or environmental health and safety, environmental sciences, biology, building sciences, architecture, engineering, or related field. Professional designation (EP, CET, AScT, CRSP, CIH, ROH, ROHT, PMP) considered an asset. Familiarity with building systems (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) considered an asset. Familiarity with provincial and federal Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental legislation. Working knowledge of occupational hygiene practices. Organizing and providing support during meetings involving participation from stakeholders and demonstrated experience summarizing and presenting results with an emphasis on written communication. Computer skills for data management and manipulation including strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Highly sought assets: Your initiative to apply knowledge and suggest practical technical solutions to critical challenges in the field. Your outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to continuously learn and apply your tech-savvy skills.
