Join to apply for the Production Supervisor role at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas Overview The Production Supervisor will be based on-site at the manufacturing facility located in Woodbridge, Ontario. This role leads a team to ensure the operations and production quality, achieves production goals, and ensures on-time delivery, labor efficiency, and safety. What you would do Plan and assign daily tasks to area employees to achieve the daily schedule and departmental goals, while maximizing production efficiency Ensure customer orders are completed correctly, efficiently, and on time Train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of staff, ensuring their ability to safely perform their functions Foster a safety culture and the implementation of safety policies and training to eliminate work-related injuries Create and report prescribed metrics (daily, weekly and monthly) Identify and proactively raise productivity issues and trends; recommend alternatives for improved performance Participate in process improvement projects to achieve cost savings in labor and materials Promote positive employee relations, communication and teamwork across all shifts and levels Ensure compliance with Company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, health and safety and inventory management Perform other duties as required Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment, adhering to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and Health & Safety Policy Skills and Experience Post-secondary Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervision or management level role with the ability to lead people in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience implementing lean manufacturing techniques and process improvement initiatives Experience in a unionized environment, preferably within metal forming, building materials, doors and/or door components Experience with work planning and production scheduling Strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills Working knowledge of CNC equipment and programming Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and project management skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; hands-on and proactive Proficient in MS Office, ERP software and reporting tools What we offer Competitive Salary Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and statutory holidays Medical, Dental, Vision, RRSP, Short and Long-term Disability, Life and AD&D Insurance Tuition Reimbursement, Learning and Career Development opportunities Employee Assistance Program Discount portal Recognition, well-being, and employee experience programs How to apply and contact If you have any questions about the role or the process, email Stephanie Mandato, Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, at Stephanie.mandato@assaabloy.com We review applications regularly; we are building diverse, inclusive teams and encourage applications from everyone who can see themselves working with us.
