A comprehensive and innovative manufacturer of high-quality office furniture is looking to add a Production Supervisor to their growing team

**The Role**

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production coordination of the facility and supervising all assigned work unit activities based on the production schedule.

**You Will**
- Be responsible for motivating and involving employees in improving processes through creativity, problem solving and learning.
- Work towards continuous improvement in policies and procedures for manufacturing, reduce cost/waste & implement 5S Initiatives throughout the facility, and lead and participate in Kaizen events.
- Plan, staff, train, and supervise all assigned work unit activities based on the production schedule.
- Ensure the team's performance and accountability to zero defects, identify and solve department problems that cause poor quality, and partner with customer service to ensure the identification of quality issues and their root causes, as well as, design and implement solutions.
- Ensure 100% on-time delivery of quality products to the customer.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
- Balance inventory needs and requirements with the need to minimize costs resulting from obtaining and holding inventory. Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained at all times.
- Create, implement and manage standard operating procedures for different positions throughout the facility. Ensure SOP’s are being followed and update and revise as needed.

**You Have**
- 5+ years of direct supervisory and production management experience
- Knowledge of furniture and woodworking (experience working in a similar industry (office furniture, kitchen cabinets, woodworking etc.) is a huge plus)
- Lean manufacturing experience and have worked in a made-to-order or engineer-to-order environment
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles and procedures

- An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with solid people skills
- Organized with superior time management skills
- A self-motivated leader and team player with strong analytical skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
