Job Description Lead the Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO) to establish and sustain a robust operating model that drives data governance, accountability, and compliance across Business Segments and Corporate Functions. Key Responsibilities Manage cross‑functional teams of IT professionals to support assigned business clients, internal partners, and stakeholder needs. Lead project delivery for assigned applications, commissioning projects to be executed by Tech PMs. Define priorities and strategies aligned with business goals and Technology Leadership direction. Communicate business vision and portfolio priorities to team members and stakeholders. Develop impact assessments and manage portfolio delivery schedule; conduct risk assessments. Monitor capacity forecasting compliance and report portfolio health. Assess change requests and issues, identify key items for reporting. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely communication and resolution; monitor billing against contracts. Assist in scope and risk assessment; develop project plans, budgets, and deliverables. Work with IT leadership to focus on reusability, scalability, and enterprise‑wide solutions. Measure and monitor progress, ensuring on‑time, within‑budget delivery and exceeding expectations. Ensure compliance with enterprise technology delivery practices, including documentation of system requirements. Track major deliverables, communicate updates, and support time‑to‑market reduction. Identify risks, provide risk mitigation advice, and oversee risk management. Analyze market trends; recommend research solutions. Maintain high customer service; manage service level commitments. Stay informed of technology initiatives and provide support to businesses. Prioritize workload, support teammates, promote quality and teamwork. Share knowledge and lessons learned; foster continuous improvement. Identify productivity and operational efficiency opportunities. Breadth & Depth Negotiate technology costs and scope in forecasting and planning. Advanced knowledge of assigned business and bank technology standards. Knowledgeable of external competition and market trends. Manage multiple teams and projects of increasing complexity. Work autonomously, developing strategic thinking and planning. Lead system enhancements, new releases, or projects with moderate scope. Directly or indirectly lead up to 25 IT professionals. Oversee EDM roles and responsibilities. Maintain clarity on hierarchy and interaction model. Lead communication and training on data literacy. Monitor metrics and dashboards for compliance. Ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management Standard and regulatory expectations. Define and evolve EDMO’s operating model aligned with enterprise priorities. Drive adoption of data governance standards and frameworks. Provide oversight and guidance for risk mitigation and audit readiness. Report to a Sr. Manager or Executive role. Experience & Education Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate. Graduate degree preferred. 7+ years of relevant experience. Proven experience in enterprise data governance and operating model design. Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence at senior levels and drive cultural change. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSFI) and data risk management.
