Internal R&D: Supporting Myant’s textile computing technology to empower individuals in managing their health with advanced biometric modeling and AI‑generated healing protocols. Role Overview Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new wiring and fixtures, conducting routine safety checks, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations. Monitor/control building system operating conditions to maintain utility/service at required specification. Execute preventive and emergency maintenance procedures. Oversee contractor activities and ensure that Myant Safety standards are applied. Responsibilities Preventive electrical maintenance, corrective electrical maintenance and new equipment installations and electrical construction. Systematically troubleshoot various facility systems and initiate necessary repairs. Maintain related electrical drawing documentation and projects. Work with pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems. Complete assorted work assignments outside of the electrical trade, including limitations, other tasks assigned, etc. Perform periodic overtime for sprinkler systems, fire alarm testing, UPS testing, supervising switchgear IR checks. Work directly with a variety of customers until assignment is satisfactorily completed. Assigned to ‘ON CALL’ duty on a rotating basis. Use appropriate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet truck or other devices) to transport materials to required staging/storage areas. Respond to plant emergencies (e.g. major equipment failure, chemical spill, fire, etc.) as directed by Shift Supervisor. Participate in all aspects of plant housekeeping. Maintain utility and equipment logs and input facility data via computer terminal. Keep building systems and equipment up‑time / down‑time records. Maintain activity logs and defect reporting. Apply lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and work permits. Participate in the development and approval of safe job procedures. Identify safety concerns and communicate them immediately to Management and anyone affected by identified hazards. Qualifications Licensed Ontario industrial electrician (442A) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Construction/Maintenance electricians (309A) will be considered. Experience working in Class I/II Division I/II hazardous electrical area environments. Experience troubleshooting HVAC systems and building automation hardware (fans, chillers, compressors, pumps). Experience with various PLC systems and VFD drives. Process equipment exposure is an asset (centrifuges, dryers, vacuum systems, etc.). Strong time management and organizational skills. Proven problem‑solving skills. Reliable and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Good communication skills and proven teamwork experience. Commitment to continuously learning through self‑development and improvements in skill set. Adapts positively to changes in assignments, priorities, schedules, approaches and responsibilities to meet business needs. PC/Internet literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Windows XP, Windows 7). Responsible, self‑starter with dedication to excellence.
