Experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Hanscomb Limited is looking for an Experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to fill various roles to keep up with the increasing demand for our services. Hanscomb Limited offers full cost planning, estimating and control services, scheduling, loan monitoring, value management, construction cost monitoring for large and small projects across Canada. Our Atlantic operation has an immediate opportunity for an Experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to be a part of its expanding office. Evidence of a minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in construction estimating and takeoffs, project and cost monitoring, coordination or management is required. Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) designation with CIQS or working toward PQS is strongly recommended. Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Atlantic Canada (NL/PE/NB/NS). Experience in leading large estimates or estimating teams, mechanical and/or electrical estimating and loan monitoring are assets. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction planning & estimating, construction cost control, construction technology, materials & practices, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.), Bluebeam and On‑Screen Takeoff. They can multitask several projects, meet deadlines, and have strong attention to detail and numbers. The ideal candidate can work as part of a team and independently.
