Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Lindsay Construction, to recruit an **Estimator** to join their team based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia _or_ Moncton, New Brunswick.

**Role Description**:
Reporting to the Director, Estimating, the Estimator will carefully review assigned project plans of varying scopes and sizes, and execute Lindsay's full-cycle bid process. This includes collaborating with the Estimating team and/or working independently to formulate a quantity takeoff, submitting items for tender, and gathering quotations from subcontractors while nurturing existing relationships with partner organizations along the way.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpret qualified scopes of work, review project documents, and perform detailed quantity takeoffs;
- Identify specific prices related to project resources including labour, equipment and materials;
- Capture and understand trade scopes, communicating gaps and outstanding information;
- Prepare and submit specific project items for tender, as per Lindsay's bidding process;
- Request and compile quotations from subcontractors to prepare a cost estimate for the project;
- Submit bonding and insurance documentation;
- Recognize risks and limitations related to project-specific requirements, site, schedule, and market conditions/constraints;
- Present detailed cost estimates of proposed scopes of work to senior members of the estimating team for review and approval;
- Nurture and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, and sub-consultants.
**Your Qualifications**:
Your qualifications include:
- 2-5 years' of relevant estimating experience in the ICI construction industry;
- Post-Secondary education in a relevant discipline, or a combination of education and relevant industry experience;
- Member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) would be considered an asset;
- Gold Seal Certification (GSC) would be considered an asset;
- General knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and practices;
- Ability to interpret and understand construction documentation;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-pace and demanding environment;
- Ability to build positive working relationships with both internal and external clients;
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency;
- Analytical aptitude.
