Summer Academy at BSS is an exceptional way for students to get ahead, catch up or explore something completely different. We welcome students of all genders to engage in exceptional learning, including immersive credit courses, weeklong programs to improve math, French and writing skills, and Signature Programs focused on leadership and STEM.We are in need of four (4) teachers for the following courses:Grade 10 Civics/CareersGrade 11 American HistoryGrade 12 BiologyGrade 12 Data ManagementWhat You’ll Do:Prepare lesson plans, outlines and assessments using inquiry and problem-based learning that engages students, challenges them, and meets the subject-specific outcomes and expectationsAbility to differentiate instruction and assessment and evaluation practices that are aligned with Growing Success 2010. m.Using learning management systems such as Brightspace, Blackboard or with Google Classroom to plan lessonsIntegrate technology in the classroom in ways that enhance the student learning experience and deepen knowledge and conceptual understanding in a condensed programCommunicate effectively with parents about all aspects of the overall program and the individual learning of each studentIntegrate diversity, equity, inclusiveness and belonging into the classroom learning environmentWho You Are:Bachelor of Education requiredMust have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificateIntermediate and/or Senior Divisions qualificationsStrong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an assetA demonstrated passion for innovation and creativity in educationExceptional interpersonal skills with the proven ability to develop relationships and a caring rapport with students and their families, and with teachersCommitment and desire to create inclusive and diverse spaces of belongingProven strengths in problem-solving and adapting to changeBSS Values Diversity:BSS is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse and respectful environment.
