Role Introduction This is a rare opportunity with a well funded startup building AI software for the manufacturing of physical products within life-sciences. You’ll join a lean deeply technical team shipping end to end product features in TypeScript (React Node GraphQL). If you’re feeling underutilised or craving difficult problems and real ownership this environment will challenge you. You will ship often own outcomes and grow quickly. About Us We’re a wellfunded product-led startup building pragmatic production-ready AI for the domain of chemicals manufacturing (food and beverage pharmaceutical and construction). We prioritise impact over ceremony : weekly standup minimal meetings high ownership. Engineers take features from problem to production including quality and reliability. Recent larger customer wins mean we’re scaling the core product and reliability of backend workflows. About You We’re looking for a product-minded FullStack Engineer with backend depth and strong JavaScript / TypeScript fundamentals. You thrive in lean startup environments and are comfortable with ambiguity You communicate clearly and collaborate well with engineering and product and sometimes customers You’re proactive, resourceful and bias to action. You can unblock yourself and know when to ask for help You care about customers and work backwards from their needs but your core energy is building Our challenges require sound engineering judgement algorithmic thinking and a shipping mindset. Skills and Experience Strong TypeScript fundamentals : TypeScript React Data layer : Postgres Nice to have : Python experience with LLMs or ML Platform : AWS familiarity and DevOps (CI / CD; exposure to containers / orchestration like Rancher / Kubernetes) is helpful Evidence of end-to-end delivery : startups side projects or shipping meaningful features to prod Prior startup experience is a plus. Clear direct communication is essential What you’ll do (first 36 months) Own and ship customer-impacting product slices regularly Improve reliability and speed of core backend workflows Contribute pragmatic product input without getting stuck in planning Compensation Typical range : AUD $140k$160k base for mid or early-senior high aptitude profiles with flexibility for clear impact and fit Benefits and Culture Hybrid / remote friendly within Australia.
