Your role will include the following: SOC Operator is a shift lead role, responsible for the oversight of the security platoon. Responsible for orienting guards to their respective roles. Assist in tracking and deployment of security staff. Monitor and operate numerous command centre systems including access control, CCTV, fire and life safety. Make emergency overhead announcements. Collaborate with the Security Coordinator on special projects. Assist in training new staff. Answer Telephones and dispatch calls from the command centre. Handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking. Liaise with security staff, Paladin Operations Centre and assist with deployment. Liaise with visitors, clients and staff. Manage Lost & Found. Manage the issuance and return of facility keys and ID/Access cards. Issue Visitor and Contractor badges. Maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations. Write clear, concise, and legible reports. Communicates any concerns/issues with Site Coordinator. Requirements A Valid Ontario Security Guard License Proficient in English (both oral and written) Degree in Police Foundations, Protection, Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services Proof of double Covid Vaccination Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2) Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification (WSIB Approved) Experience working in a command or dispatch centre would be an asset Authorized to legally work in Canada Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability Why choose Paladin?
