Base Pay Range CHF54,442.00/yr – CHF93,306.00/yr Job Details Job category: Professionals Department: Payroll Services Immediate supervisor: Jessica Sarah Eugenio Position status: Full-time, Specific Project Contract length: February 17, 2026 to February 12, 2027 (possible extension) Work location: Cégep Vanier Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (35 hrs/week) Expected start date: February 16, 2026 Responsibilities Analyze, develop, coordinate and monitor all payroll systems, methods and processes. Ensure uninterrupted payroll services and maximize efficiency of system programming functions. Confirm system compliance with all regulations and requirements. Ensure deadlines are respected and payroll records are maintained in good standing with confidentiality. Reconcile payroll accounts monthly in accordance with the General Ledger and prepare journal entries. Develop, propose and implement payroll policies and procedures after official approval. Conceptualize, develop and update payroll procedures for maximum efficiency. Ensure compliance with College policies, government rules and collective agreements. Liaise with Human Resources to ensure payroll activities comply with College policies and agreements. Produce year‑end reports, tax information slips, CNESST reports and Retraite Québec reports, and conduct reconciliations. Prepare payroll reports for external auditors and collaborate on audit preparations. Coordinate with governmental organizations and College’s financial institutions on payroll matters. Perform any other related tasks within the scope of the position. Requirements Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field. At least two (2) years of pertinent payroll-related experience. Extensive knowledge of payroll regulations, procedures and systems, preferably in the educational sector. Knowledge of finance systems used in the education sector and government pension plans. Strong English and French oral and written communication skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and autonomously. High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work on tight timelines. Excellent organizational and customer‑service skills.
