The Okanagan Way’ About the Opportunity The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Fleet & Equipment Assistant based in Lake Country, BC. Reporting to the Fleet & Equipment Crew Lead, the Fleet & Equipment Assistant position is responsible for a range of functions pertaining to the daily operation, organization and administration of the District's vehicle, equipment and workshop facility. Responsibilities Cleans and maintains the shop and yard areas, fuels and cleans vehicles, operates a forklift and loader/backhoe, and other equipment as assigned; Provides assistance to Fleet Technicians and performs basic servicing on vehicles and equipment; Picks up parts and drives a variety of vehicles and equipment to and from external service shops and suppliers. More About You To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of Grade 12 diploma and a minimum of one year's work experience in a mechanical shop setting. Additionally, you must hold a valid British Columbia driver’s license.
