This role provides leaders with ongoing HR partnership to build engaged, productive and empowered teams. By collaborating with HR Centres of Excellence, the Manager, Human Resources – Home Office ensures the effective delivery of core HR processes—including Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance & Potential, Training & Development, and Total Rewards—driving organizational success through people.This role supports specific Home Office client groups and is based at Indigo’s Home Office, reporting to the Director, Human Resources.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESBusiness PartnershipBuild relationships with business leaders and people leaders to establish credibility as a trusted advisor and strategic partnerProvide sound guidance and support on people plans that contribute to client group strategic decision‑makingProvide communication and change management expertise on business initiatives and support people leaders at all levels to effectively facilitate changeUnderstand market trends, business models and business strategy, and translate those requirements to deliver organizational and talent‑related insightsSupport organizational design/operational model changes within assigned client groups and impact of changes on talentLeverage people analytics to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, drive insight to enhance overall organizational culture and team effectivenessSupport various HR initiatives to all assigned client groupsEmployee Relations / EngagementHelp to define employee engagement goals and action planning strategies to drive increased engagementWork with leaders to define and implement tactics that positively impact team culture and enhance overall team performanceProvide effective coaching, counseling and performance strategies on all employee relations situations in alignment with best practices demonstrating sound understanding of employment law and applicable legislationsPartner with people leaders on high risk/complex written communications across client groupsTalent Management / Training & Development / StaffingWork with COEs on development and execution of client group‑specific people solutions related to talent management, development planning, succession planning, training programs (facilitation and coordination)Support the staffing process for assigned client groups and work with leaders to ensure effective hiring decisions, onboarding & orientationIdentify talent issues and impacts on business and work with leaders to design plans to addressSupport the administration of foundational HR processes to ensure timely and accurate record keeping in UKGLiaise between Client Groups and Centres of Excellence (COE)Continuous improvement mindset to solve individual issues, and to instill best practices or systems thinking to embed processes and solve for future issuesObtain relevant data from HR COEs and interpret for assigned client groups to ensure organizational programs land effectivelyCommunicate and support assigned client groups to embed HR programs – e.g., annual processes, succession planning, changes in HR policies/programs, etc.Act as subject matter expert for client groups when partnering with COEs on development of people processes, projects and policiesQualificationsWork Experience / Education / CertificationsMinimum 5-7 years progressive experience in HR business partner or generalist role in a complex businessPost‑secondary education with a focus on HR or business‑related discipline, or equivalency. CHRL or equivalent an assetExperience supporting leaders and businesses through changeIn‑depth knowledge of Ontario and Canadian employment legislationPrevious experience with UKG (HRIS) an assetCompetencies / Skills / AttributesStrong business acumen and strategic problem‑solving to assist leaders in solving organizational, people and change prioritiesTrusted advisor with excellent communication, relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skillsCultural engagement expert with a focus on operational excellenceExperience navigating complex employee relations situationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing prioritiesOther (travel, Bilingual, etc.)This role will require 4 days per week at the Indigo Home Office located at 620 King St W, Toronto, ON M6K 0C6, CanadaAdditional InformationThis posting is for a current opportunity within Indigo.At Indigo, all applications submitted are reviewed in detail by our HR team.
