The Business Development Specialist – Energy Conversion reports to the Business Line Manager – Oil-Free Air Division. This position is full-time at 35 hours per week and is ideally based in Montreal, Quebec, but is also open Canada-wide. The main activities you’ll take care of Technical Expertise & Solution Development Leverage in-depth technical knowledge of energy conversion systems (e.g., heat recovery, steam compressors, cooling, and industrial efficiency solutions) to develop and present tailored solutions to clients. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and comply with industry standards. Stay current with emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and sustainability trends impacting the energy sector. Sales Strategy & Execution Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, and institutional markets. Develop and execute strategic account plans, including lead generation, proposal development, and contract negotiation. Customer & Market Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including end-users, consultants, EPCs, and channel partners. Conduct site visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to support the sales process. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote technical capabilities and thought leadership. Collaboration & Reporting Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align technical solutions with customer needs and business objectives. Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, market feedback, and competitive intelligence. You are results-oriented and an experienced professional with proven track record in equipment sales. Your 3–5 years of experience in technical sales or business development within the energy, HVAC, or industrial automation sectors. Your proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. Your ability to travel within Canada as required. Votre nouveau rôle Le Spécialiste du développement des affaires – Conversion énergétique est responsable de la croissance et du développement du marché de la conversion d’énergie au Canada, ce qui comprend le maintien et le développement de relations solides avec les principaux acteurs de l'industrie. Le Spécialiste du développement des affaires – Conversion d’énergétique relève du Vice-président, division Oil-Free Air. Ce poste est à temps plein, 35 heures par semaine, idéalement basé à Montréal (Québec), mais ouvert à travers du Canada. Vos principales responsabilités Expertise technique et développement de solutions Mettre à profit une connaissance technique approfondie des systèmes de conversion d’énergie (p. ex. récupération de chaleur, compresseurs de vapeur, refroidissement et solutions d’efficacité industrielle) afin de développer et présenter des solutions adaptées aux clients. Collaborer avec les équipes d’ingénierie et de produits pour s’assurer que les solutions proposées répondent aux besoins des clients et respectent les normes de l’industrie. Se tenir à jour sur les technologies émergentes, les changements réglementaires et les tendances en matière de durabilité dans le secteur énergétique. Stratégie et exécution des ventes Stimuler la croissance des ventes en identifiant et en poursuivant de nouvelles opportunités d’affaires dans les marchés industriels, commerciaux et institutionnels. Développer et exécuter des plans stratégiques pour les comptes, incluant la génération de prospects, la préparation de propositions et la négociation de contrats. Engagement client et marché Établir et maintenir de solides relations avec les parties prenantes clés, notamment les utilisateurs finaux, consultants, EPC et partenaires de distribution. Effectuer des visites de sites, des présentations techniques et des démonstrations de produits pour soutenir le processus de vente. Représenter l’entreprise lors d’événements sectoriels, salons professionnels et conférences afin de promouvoir nos capacités techniques et notre leadership éclairé. Collaboration et rapports Travailler en collaboration avec les équipes internes pour aligner les solutions techniques sur les besoins des clients et les objectifs d’affaires. Fournir des mises à jour régulières sur le pipeline de ventes, les retours du marché et l’analyse de la concurrence. Vos 3 à 5 années d’expérience en ventes techniques ou en développement des affaires dans les secteurs de l’énergie, du CVC ou de l’automatisation industrielle.
