OverviewAECOM is seeking a full-time Contract Administrator to work at one of our municipal wastewater infrastructure construction project sites (wastewater treatment plant in Toronto/East End).ResponsibilitiesWork with Project Manager, Design Team, Client and Construction Contractor in expediting solutions to technical field problemsReview construction submittalsMonitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirementsCoordinate inspections, provide regular updates to project team and the Client, review and prepare contractor payment applications, and respond to RFI’sIssue RFQs, Change Orders, Change Directives, Site InstructionsParticipate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changesParticipate in the resolution of delay and other claims by the contractorParticipate in and document all construction meetings onsite (progress meeting, commissioning meeting, etc.)Participate/coordinate in testing and commissioning activitiesFunction as AECOM’s Onsite Safety OfficerMinimum Qualifications4+ years of Contract Administration experience in a field role, ideally on a municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projectCertified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T and a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists, or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and registered P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible within 12 monthsValid driving license and access to own vehiclePreferred Qualifications6+ years of experience in a field role on municipal water or wastewater infrastructure projects and experience providing contract administration and/or site inspectionUnderstanding of construction project sequencing (e.g., mobilization, shop drawing reviews, construction, start-up and commissioning, project closeout, etc.)Able to read and interpret engineering construction drawings and specificationsAbility to work in teams, respond to changing demands, be decisive under pressure, and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnelExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsStrong computer skillsSupervised construction related to vertical infrastructure (i.e., concrete structures, buildings, process equipment, HVAC and plumbing, electrical works, I&C works)Process equipment commissioning experienceStrong knowledge of applicable codes and regulationsAdditional InformationSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
