We are seeking an Estimating Student, for ourBC Region district - Kelowna, within our Canadian Buildings Division that are available for 4 months starting in May 2026. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Estimator.As an Estimating Student for PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. in Kelowna, British Columbia, you'll have the opportunity to support innovative infrastructure projects that shape the future of your community.Here's how an Estimating Student for PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. within BC Region contributes to our team:Understanding and utilizing PCL’s estimating manuals, systems and formsReviewing quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief EstimatorPerforming assigned quantity surveyGiving quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricingTransferring quantities to lead estimatorBid document controlPerforming bid day assignmentsVisiting job sites periodicallyDeveloping relationships with subcontractorsOther duties as assigned by the Chief EstimatorQualificationsCandidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.Pay Range: $21.73 - $26.65PCL Student wages are determined individually for each student based on the number of completed school terms, relevant work terms, kind of role and work location.Next Step:Please note that candidates who have been selected to move forward to the next stage of the recruitment process will receive an email to complete a short online video interview.Your Work Has Purpose HerePCL projects are where life happens, where communities connect, careers begin, and progress is made.
