A Lead Technician is required to be a certified A&P Technician or hold a Repairman Certificate, an FCC certificate, or a Radio Repairman Operator certificate as applicable to the work they are supervising.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesBeing available for consultation on matters relating to work being accomplished on his or her assigned aircraft.Ensuring all required paperwork is satisfactorily completed and signed and complies with all existing regulations and procedures.Ensuring all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect the customers aircraft and equipment.Monitoring and reporting to supervisors the work of personnel under his or her responsibility for proper work performance, productivity, quality and personnel safety.Assisting supervisors as requested in reviewing personnel for job qualifications and status and for maximizing manpower.Performing on the job training for personnel.Providing guidance and technical advice to assigned technicians.Coordinating with other appropriate departments to organize and control the customers work package and any special considerations.All other duties as assigned.CORE COMPETENCIESBusiness Acumen: Utilizing financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses and identify the implications for potential strategiesManaging Relationships : Meeting the personal needs of individuals to build trust, encourage two-way communications, and strengthen relationships .Adaptability: Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment (e.g., people, processes, structure, or culture).C ontinuous Learning : Actively identifying new areas for learning; regularly creating and taking advantage of learning opportunities; taking full advantage of opportunities to receive and explore feedback about own performance (from assessments, managers, coworkers, internal/external partners, or customers).Safety Focus : Identifying and improving conditions that affect our own and others' safety; upholding safety standards.Quality Orientation : Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how detailed.Valuing Differences : Working effectively with individuals of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, abilities, motivations or backgroundsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required.EDUCATION And Or EXPERIENCEAssociates degree AA or equivalent from two year college or technical school or four years related experience and/orTraining or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must possess a current and active FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificates , an FCC certificate, or a Radio Repairman Operator certificate as applicable to the work they are overseeing.PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENTConstantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull
