VG Meats is seeking a Route Driver in Toronto, ON.As a Route Driver, you'll handle daily deliveries from our pickup depot to our clients, with opportunities to collect and deliver items across various facilities. Embrace a rewarding CAREER with VG MeatsBenefits of this role include:25% employee discount and a competitive wage of $20.00 per hourOpportunities to grow and learn within a rapidly expanding companyBeing a regenerative employer, meaning contributing to a workplace that benefits staff, producers, customers, and communitiesG licenseContinued support for drivers throughout the training processAs a Route Driver at VG Meats, your duties will include making daily deliveries and coordinating with the Shipping/Receiving department, Administrative staff, and the Logistics Supervisor to ensure the accurate handling of paperwork, customer orders, and shipment details.Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:Strong communication skills and attention to detailUse of your cellular device to navigate routes using Route4MeExperience in handling time and temperature-sensitive productsMaintaining cleanliness of the delivery vehicleAt least 3 years of driving experience relevant to the roleAbility to drive in urban areas and load/unload vans with product weighing up to 25 kgPositive attitude paired with good verbal and written communication skills in EnglishA clean Driver’s AbstractCriminal background checkReference letters from current and previous employers evidencing a total of 3 years of driving experience.Schedule:The position will initially be a part-time position, 3-5 hours per day between Tuesday and Friday. Hours will vary but will generally fall in-between 7:00 a.m. and 11 a.m. As our operation grows, this may develop into a full-time position.About VG Meats:VG Meats is a family-owned, fourth-generation business committed to producing tender, high-quality beef, pork, and pastured poultry through sustainable farming practices.
