You’ll manage day-to-day accounting, lead month-end close, and support financial planning and analysis that drives better business decisions.You’ll work closely with leadership to translate financial insights into action, help refine our systems and reporting, and implement smarter ways to manage cash flow, margins, and performance as we grow.What You’ll DoOwn the full accounting cycle, managing journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close with precision and speedPrepare and analyze financial statements, providing clear and actionable insights to leadership and department headsLead reporting and forecasting support, assisting in budget planning, cash flow tracking, and variance analysisStreamline processes by identifying inefficiencies in current workflows and implementing automation or system improvementsManage financial compliance by ensuring accuracy in tax filings, payroll reporting, and adherence to IFRS/ASPE standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with teams across marketing, operations, and events to track and optimize spendSupport audits and financial reviews by preparing working papers, documentation, and reconciliations for internal and external reviewContribute to growth initiatives by bringing a financial lens to strategic discussions and helping to evaluate new projects and investmentsWhat You BringRequired2–4 years of progressive accounting experience (industry or public accounting)Near or newly completed CPA designationProficiency with accounting systems and Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparationAttention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solvingAbility to communicate complex financial data clearly and simplyPreferredExperience in a high-growth or creative industry (media, marketing, or SaaS)Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuiteExposure to budgeting, forecasting, and management reportingInterest in systems, automation, and process optimizationYou’re a Great Fit If You…See accounting as a strategic driver, not just a reporting functionLove solving problems and improving how things are doneThrive in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsTake pride in precision and proactive communicationWant to grow into a controller or finance leadership pathAre hungry for more than a job, you want a missionWhy Kelowna?
