Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant Technician located in Canada. The Accountant Technician will be responsible for preparing year-ends, managing accounting systems for businesses, and compiling financial statements. They will handle income tax returns for individuals and corporations (Intuit QuickBooks PROTAX), and provide tax planning services. Additionally, the role includes managing federal and provincial sales tax (GST, HST, and PST) processes, and offering payroll services.

Qualifications

• General accounting skills, including general ledger and financial statements preparation
• Experience in accounting system setup and implementation (QuickBooks Online)
• Tax preparation and planning skills for individuals and corporations (QuickBooks PROTAX)
• Familiarity with federal and provincial sales tax regulations
• Proficiency in payroll services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Brazilian Portuguese speaking is a MUST
• Ability to work remotely independently, collaboratively, and fast
• Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software is beneficial
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Accept from Brazil), Finance, or related field
