We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team with a main focus on managing the financial aspect of internal operations. The analyst will provide support to our internal accounting department in areas such as Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Budget&Forecasting, and more. You will get to work with a growing team that is innovative, collaborative and highly effective.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting the accounting process using Quickbooks Online (QBO)
  • Completing weekly bank reconciliation
  • Posting AR and AP entries accurately and in a timely manner and ensuring that payment is received and sent out accordingly
  • Processing semi-monthly payroll through ADP teampay, and doing the appropriate reconciliations and entries in QBOGST/HST monthly remittances
  • Reviewing and approving expenses in Expensify and ensuring that expenses are properly categorized and allocated
  • Bookkeeping work related to personal and holding company accounts
  • Preparing accounting journal entries related to standard accruals, management fees, and capital contributions and distributions
  • Assisting with month end, quarter end, and year end close
  • Preparing financial statement working papers, organize and compile data required for financial reporting purposes
  • Assisting with preparation, review and production of interim and annual reports
  • Investigating any new vendors/suppliers and checking if approval was provided and costs are within budget
  • Responding to queries that come into the Accounts Payable inbox
  • Other projects and operations will be assigned on an ad hoc basis
What you'll bring with you:
  • Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Commerce
  • CPA designation
  • Experience working in accounting or a related roleAbility to work to a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, investigative and analytical skills
  • Excels in a fast paced team and maintains work ethic under pressure
  • Expert organizational and time management skills
  • Adaptable and thrives in a changing business environment
  • Must be able to interact with others at various organizational levels
  • Strong research and interpretation skills of accounting related matters
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including ability to write macros
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel required
