You Take pride in being accurate, organized and having an eye for details and deadlines Do what it takes to get the best work done Are proactive, independent and communicate openly Love solving complex puzzles You will Manage the process over the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with ASPE, IFRS and US GAAP including financial analysis thereof, taking a role in both the preparation and review of such statements Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting packages for standalone entities and consolidated groups. Lead in the preparation of accounting analysis over complex transactions including ensuring the transactions are accurately reflected within the general ledger Lead initiatives to standardize, document and implement accounting policies including application of new accounting pronouncements Providing leadership over external audits Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, especially as it relates to financial statement preparation and technical accounting analysis Act as a point of contact for financial reporting queries from internal and external partners. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
