Become SaskEnergy's next Employee Relations Business Partner The Employee Relations Business Partner contributes to the development, implementation and management of labour relations strategy. This position collaborates with colleagues in Human Resources and management to provide a wide range of labour, employment and HR related advice and assistance, including management of grievance files and collective agreement interpretation. This position will serve as a resource for advice on collective bargaining, investigations, discipline, performance management and other labour and employment matters. This role will build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with management and union representatives and will serve as a consultative specialist in the area of labour and employment.# **Position Details*** Non-union. This position is permanent full time.# **Key Accountabilities*** Provide consultative labour relations advice on the interpretation and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and legislation to all levels of the organization.* Research and analyze facts, trends and statistical data in order to make recommendations and provide strategic advice as it relates to resolving labour relations issues and concerns that affect the organization.* Gather information, conduct investigation interviews, analyze all information and determine the findings of fact to provide a recommendation to management on the next steps including appropriate levels of discipline.* Develop policies and letters of understanding with a consideration for the future of the Corporation, ensuring alignment with departmental and Corporate objectives.* Support the collective bargaining process: participate in establishing collective bargaining strategy, essential services, oversee collective bargaining process including drafting, reviewing and modifying proposals, documenting agreements, drafting collective agreement language and implementation of negotiated change.* Collaborate with the Legal department to develop legal documents such as Return to Work Agreements, Settlement Agreements and coordinate implementation.* Develop tools and guidelines and facilitate information update sessions on employment and labour issues to internal resources.* Provide expertise and support for the management of employee performance, assisting in mitigating conflict and ensuring consistency of application.* Work with external agencies in the provision of specialized services.* Provide backup support for the coordination and oversight of employee health, wellness, and disability management programs.* Other related duties as assigned.# **Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*** Degree in Business Administration or Commerce.* Five (5) years of experience in progressively responsible positions in employee relations in a union environment with comprehensive knowledge in employee relations and human resources practices, policy/processes, negotiations, grievances, arbitration and investigation processes, and in-depth understanding of collective agreements.* A CPHR designation would be considered an asset.* Proven knowledge and understanding of provincial labour legislation.* Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills with the ability to use sound judgement in decision making and understand the importance of dealing with private and confidential information in a tactful manner.* Well-developed interpersonal relationship and diplomacy skills with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and lead by influence.* Negotiation and conflict resolution skills with knowledge of various dispute resolution methods.A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.# **Additional Information*** A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.# **Application Instructions*** Please apply online with your cover letter and resume outlining your qualifications.* For more information on this position, please contact Human Resources at 306-777-9091.# **Closing Date**February 9, 2026# **Salary Range**$81,613.00 - $117,050#LI-POSTWe are Saskatchewan's natural gas distribution company.
