Job Description Summary This role is responsible for the supervision, implementation, and oversight of the sales and recruiting activities of the World Financial Group Insurance Agency of Canada Inc. ("WFGIAC"). Lead a team of insurance analysts and ensure WFGIAC agents comply with WFGIAC policies, procedures, and Canadian insurance regulations. Responsibilities Establish and implement a supervisory control framework to effectively oversee the recruiting and sales activities of WFGIAC’s agents, partnering proactively with business leaders, Legal, and Compliance. Oversee daily operations of the supervision program, including processes, procedures, supervisory training, branch audit schedules, and reporting to detect and mitigate company and regulatory risks. Manage the suitability review process to ensure insurance sales align with customer needs. Foster a culture of compliance by promoting awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements to field leaders and agents. Coach insurance analysts in corrective discussions and provide supervisory training to agents for adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Oversee periodic reviews of client files to verify compliance with WFGIAC’s policies. Follow up and impose corrective measures, such as increased supervision, resulting from deficiencies identified during inspections, surveillance activities, and client file reviews. Escalate timely and appropriately sales activities that do not comply with WFGIAC policies and provincial regulations. Coordinate scheduling and rotation of analysts during branch audits to ensure agent adherence to business and regulatory requirements. Partner with Compliance and Legal to develop supervisory policies and procedures, and prepare for internal and external regulatory audits and examinations. Provide periodic training to agents on needs-based selling and WFGIAC policies. Provide leadership and direction to the insurance analysts’ team, ensuring training and accountability, and leading the team with operational excellence. Qualifications Ten years of insurance and compliance/supervision experience, including senior-level management responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations. Outstanding written and oral communication and relationship management skills for working with business partners, Compliance, Legal, and field leaders. Life Insurance license. Preferred Qualifications University degree in a business field. Senior-level management experience within an insurance company or managing a general agent. Working Conditions Office environment. Travel: moderate (10‑25%). Travel to WFGIAC branches across Canada. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required for branch reviews.
