We are looking for a motivated and curious Junior IT Specialist to join our team and grow with us. This role offers a balance of operational support and forward-looking project work. In addition to resolving technical issues for our team, you’ll help design, develop, and test new tools, and you’ll play a hands-on role in coordinating key technology initiatives. If you love solving problems, learning quickly, and working on a wide variety of technologies, this role is for you.What You’ll DoTechnical Support (50%)Serve as a first point of contact for technical issues (software, identity/access, platform errors)Troubleshoot and resolve internal and external application issuesMaintain and support Windows environments and Google Workspace toolsAssist in onboarding/offboarding staff, including account provisioning and system accessDocument support procedures, common fixes, and internal knowledge base contentMonitor key IT systems and escalate issues appropriatelySpecial Projects & Engineering (50%)Software Development (Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, AWS)Contribute to the development of internal applications and automation toolsWrite clean, maintainable code under the guidance of leadershipMaintain and improve serverless/cloud-based services on AWSPerform functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance criteria evaluation on internal and external applicationsDevelop test plans and document defects with clear replication stepsCollaborate internally and externally to ensure product qualityAssist with project planning, timelines, and task coordinationTrack progress on concurrent interdepartmental projects, identify blockers, and communicate updates to stakeholdersHelp coordinate cross-functional work across IT, operations, compliance and other business unitsWhat You Bring1–3 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical roleStrong troubleshooting skills and a logical problem-solving mindsetSome experience with modern web development tools including Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Next.js, PostgreSQL (personal or academic projects count)Basic understanding of AWS services (Lambda, EC2, BedRock, S3, API Gateway, IAM, etc.) is an assetInterest or experience in QA/testing and writing test plansExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in plain language to non-technical personsSelf-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable context-switchingBonus PointsExperience working in a regulated industry (finance, insurance, healthcare)Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker or any modern DevOps toolExposure to project management frameworks (Agile, Kanban, Scrum)Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
