Type of Position Regular About the Role We’re BBA, a leading private consulting engineering firm in Canada, focused on high‑temperature metallurgical operations. We’re seeking an experienced Process Engineer to design and optimize pyro‑metallurgical processes for our growing client base worldwide. Key Responsibilities Design complex metallurgical flow sheets and run drying, pre‑reduction, pre‑heating, roasting, smelting, converting and fire refining. Develop process solutions and support business development initiatives to modernize and decarbonize existing processes. Engage with client teams to present designs, reports, publications and presentations>Help evaluate, select and commission new technologies that improve safety, efficiency and profitability of client operations. Prepare proposals and act as a technical link with clients. Build a network of contacts with suppliers and clients. Qualifications Undergraduate or graduate degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering. At least seven (7) years of experience in pyrometallurgical design in base, precious or specialized metals. Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of high‑temperature metallurgical processes. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated enthusiasm for business development and growth. Ability to register as a professional engineer in Canada. Active participation and representation of BBA at conferences and university events. Occasional travel within Canada or abroad required.
