We are Making Sustainability Happen.As our new Senior Process Engineer, you will play an important role on our Responsible Mining Solutions team.**Responsibilities** • Provide technical leadership for engineering studies within a multi-disciplinary team, leveraging experience and competencies in a range of mining operations • Contribute, through innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and strategic aptitude, in developing backfill concepts that will be presented to planners up to senior executive/corporate level clients • Provide technical direction to project engineers and mentoring young engineers • Conduct economic valuation of different plant solutions • Manage technical work to meet scope, time and budget • Demonstrate competency in MS Office software, ACAD/Deswik software • Provide guidance and direction to the drafting team to generate drawings, schematics alongside the associated discipline engineers for support on proposals and plant design/build opportunities • Perform field work, data analysis and calculations • Support the implementation of plant design standards across project delivery and engineering disciplines. • Support the preparation of technical documentation including design criteria, calculations, process flowsheets, P&IDs, control philosophy's, reports etc. • Support commercial activities, including writing, reviewing proposals, estimates and quotations • Periodically travel to site to support business development activities, including inspections, audits and design/build opportunities **Working @ SLR** With us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location. • Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement**Qualification** • 10+ years’ experience in the mining industry • Minimum 5 years of operational experience at a mineral processing facility • Understanding of impacts of mineralogy on processes and material properties • Experience in dewatering technologies and interpreting test work results in scaling and sizing of equipment • Registered or qualified for registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada • Willingness and ability to travel within the domestically and internationally up to 10% of your time as required • Fluency in any of Spanish/French/Portuguese languages would be advantageous. • Familiar with international and public disclosure and reporting codes, including NI 43-101, JORC, SAMREC, Competent Persons Reports, and Mineral Expert Reports etc.SLR strives to build diverse teams that reflect the communities we work in, and encourages applications from traditionally underrepresented groups including women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as 2SLGBTQI+, veterans, and people with disabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
