The role is preferably based at the Winnipeg, Manitoba head office, but may also be performed remotely from a home-based office within Canada. Responsibilities Registration & Portfolio Lifecycle Management Lead and manage registration activities and regulatory dossiers for active ingredients and end‑use products within the ADAMA Canada portfolio, providing regulatory guidance and strategic input to the leadership team. Plan, prepare, and submit regulatory applications to the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA), including new active ingredients, end‑use products, research authorizations, new sources of active ingredients, manufacturing and formulation changes, label expansions and addition of production sites. Maintain existing registrations by submitting renewals, notifications and lifecycle updates, ensuring continued market access. Strategic & Cross‑functional Collaboration Work closely with Development and Strategy teams to define registration strategies, timelines, data requirements (e.g., physicochemical, toxicology, value, residue and other studies), and cost estimates. Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, Quality, and Procurement teams to support Management of Change and New Product Introduction activities by addressing regulatory requirements and executing necessary regulatory actions. Support Marketing and Sales teams by reviewing and providing guidance on advertising and promotional materials to ensure alignment with registered labels and PMRA policies. Act as ADAMA’s regulatory representative at CropLife Canada meetings, events, and committees, providing regulatory intelligence to the business, identifying emerging issues, and proposing strategies to mitigate regulatory and business risk. Liaise with ADAMA Global stakeholders and respond to regulatory or data‑related information requests in a timely and effective manner. Support AAFC Pest Management Centre (PMC) minor use research programs and URMULE. Regulatory Compliance & Agency Interaction Manage regulatory activities related to PMRA re‑evaluations, special reviews and data call‑in requests, coordinating responses with global teams and internal experts. Support Protection of Proprietary Interests in Pesticide Data (PPIP) activities, both as a registrant (responding to compensable study list requests and reviewing PMRA data compensation lists) and as an applicant (assessing compensable data relevance with Development and Strategy teams). Ensure product and organizational compliance with PMRA requirements, including sales reporting, incident reporting and the accuracy of labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Work with Finance for preparation of Annual Regulatory Charge Fee Reduction Requests and annual Sales Data Reporting. Systems, Data & Budget Management Manage and maintain regulatory data, studies, waivers, master and specimen labels, specifications within internal systems and databases. Manage designated regulatory budgets related to external consultants and laboratories, ensuring appropriate agreements and cost controls are in place. Qualifications & Competencies The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong working knowledge of PMRA application requirements, regulations, guidelines, and Pest Control Product (PCP) labels. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment while working independently with minimal supervision, but also collaboratively across teams. Demonstrated project management skills to plan, coordinate, and complete regulatory submissions involving multiple stakeholders and timelines. Ability to develop clear, concise, and timely regulatory strategies. Agility and resilience in navigating a continuously evolving regulatory landscape. Critical thinking skills, sound judgment and the ability to resolve complex situations while ensuring strict adherence with business standards and regulatory compliance. Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with professionalism to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Education And Experience Minimum of a B.Sc. in chemical or biological sciences, agriculture or a related field Minimum of 5 years’ experience in regulatory and/or in the Crop Protection/Agriculture Industry. Knowledge of the Canadian Pest Control Product Act, regulations and PMRA policies (preferred). Prior experience working directly with PMRA (preferred). M.Sc. or Ph.D. (preferred).
