OverviewSenior Subcontract Program Manager role at Ultra Maritime.Ultra Maritime pioneers multi-mission naval solutions for allied navies worldwide. We collaborate with customers to deliver advanced systems across surface vessels, sub-surface operations, and unmanned platforms, including sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems.The Subcontract Program Manager sources and procures complex, specialized goods and services and owns contractual management for the supplier. They coordinate with legal, contracts, finance, planning, operations, program management, engineering, and quality to monitor and manage schedule, cost, technical, and quality performance of suppliers in support of Programs. They interface with supplier leadership to drive excellence in the performance of contractual requirements.Nationality requirements: Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role due to the nature of the programmes delivered for our customers.Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout phases.Assess supplier performance and regularly communicate feedback to Supplier Leadership.Manage supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle.Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic negotiations.Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.Contribute to Program Risk and Opportunity management.Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Operate in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and collaborative teams across all levels.Basic QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience with SAP or related business application software.Reliability Security Clearance or higher.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in business, Global Supply Chain or Project Management.Experience presenting to senior leadership.Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).Previous Control Account Manager (CAM) experience or training.Working knowledge of Business Law; risk mitigation and change management experience.Education/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years combined experience or a minimum of 5 years combined experience with a Master’s Degree.Will be required to maintain security clearance.EEO and BenefitsUltra Maritime is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity, inclusion, equity and equality.
