Full-Time • Starting Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour • Location: 151 O’Connor Street Ottawa ON K2P 2L8 Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level New Hire Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm Job Summary The role provides a unique blend of hands‑on service and concierge style service in an innovative atmosphere of a tech company. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing event logistics, maintaining facilities, and supporting day‑to‑day operations. Responsibilities Managing guest/event check‑in, porter services and other concierge roles for all guests Receiving Shopify mail and shipments Receiving event and merchandise deliveries and acting as event manager/on duty on event days Assisting with food service related duties during meal times and events Ensuring all refresh kitchen, snack areas and kitchenettes are well stocked, clean and maintained at all times Operating gourmet coffee machines and maintaining bean‑to‑cup coffee machines Providing support with logistical details related to day‑to‑day operations Building and maintaining strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders across Shopify Understanding of local restaurants, shops and other visitor attractions in Montreal Other duties as assigned Qualifications Fully bilingual in English and French, in both writing and spoken communication Heavy experience in event and conferencing coordination and logistics Strong organizational and time‑management skills A self‑starter with a passion for hands‑on work, problem solving Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Computer skills (Google Suite, spreadsheets, project‑management software or equivalent) Ability to navigate new software, tools, and technologies 5+ years experience in Events and Hospitality Operations Why work with Groupe Compass Quebec?
