OverviewAssistant Professor, Economics - Department of Anthropology, Economics, and Political Science, Faculty of Arts and Science at MacEwan University. New hires will normally be placed within the first 8 steps of the Assistant Professor salary table.Closing Date: A review of applications will begin November 12, 2025, and continue until a suitable candidate is found.The Department of Anthropology, Economics, and Political Science invites applications for an entry-level, full-time, tenure-track appointment in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval. You will contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of the Economics program and teach at all levels of the curriculum, with emphasis on senior-level courses in Financial Economics or Quantitative Economics.You must have, or be close to completion of, a terminal degree in Economics, an ongoing research program, and a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching. Preferred candidates will have post-secondary teaching experience with evidence of excellence or promise of excellence in teaching.You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), a statement of research interests, and a sample of scholarly work. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Department Chair to provide three (3) letters of reference sent directly from referees. Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.
