We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic cooperative environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and is eager Hochner support the day-to-day operations of our co‑op while fostering strong relationships with members and staff.If you have experience in the co‑op sector or a similar administrative role, we’d love to hear from youKey ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the Manager, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with co‑op bylaws and policies.Prepare and maintain corporate records, member files, and financial documents.Assist with board and member meetings, including issuing notices and preparing reports.Manage financial tasks such as processing deposits, collecting housing charges.Issuing approved notices to members.Coordinate maintenance work orders and handle member inquiries with professionalism.Maintain office systems, including record-keeping, filing of all documents, inventory control, and member communications.Assist with RGI collection of members’ documents and calculating RGI’s on an annual basis.Foster a welcoming and professional office environment for members and visitors.Assisting the manager with other work-related duties regarding the co‑op’s operations.Assist the maintenance worker with work orders and follow up with members and contractors.What You BringProven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a co‑op or non‑profit setting.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and record-keeping systems.Proficiency in calculating RGI’s.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently under supervision.A collaborative spirit and commitment to community values.Why Join UsBe part of a supportive and mission‑driven co‑op community.Engage in meaningful work that directly impacts members and operations.Flexible schedule with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter outlining their qualifications and interest in the role by January 23 rd , 2026 .
