We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join us at the Magpie & Stump Magpie & Stump guarantees a classic Banff experience complete with tacos, tequila and debauchery. This little piece of Mexico in the mountains serves up tacos, burritos, enchiladas and over 60 tequilas. Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to keep the kitchen organized, efficient, and running to standard. Oversee food prep and presentation, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail. Help train, guide, and develop team members while identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Monitor food storage and waste, keeping detailed records and ensuring all safety and cleanliness standards are met. Act as a culture leader—supporting hiring efforts and helping to build a strong, collaborative kitchen team. What You Have: Culinary chops – You’ve got kitchen experience and know your way around the line. Whether you’re prepping fresh ingredients or plating tacos, you take pride in putting out quality food. Cool under pressure – Our kitchen can get busy, especially during the lunch and dinner rush. Even when it’s go-time, you stay calm, collected, and keep the good energy flowing. Team player vibes – You’re all about working together.
