OverviewSenior Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Water/Wastewater role at AECOM in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and significant experience in civil engineering, civil technology, project management, design and construction of municipal infrastructure. They will work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers, mostly within the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.ResponsibilitiesDesign and project management of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater / drainage conveyance and treatment facilitiesPrepare documentation for design projects and reportsPrepare construction cost estimatesPreparation of project specifications and contract documentsPerform constructability reviewsPerform contract administrationPerform construction inspectionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 12 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or municipal engineeringExperience with civil engineering, planning, design, construction inspection, and contract administration in municipal water and wastewater-related projectsP.Eng with EGBC or ability to obtain within 18 monthsPreferred QualificationsExperience with design and project management for water/wastewater/drainage treatment and conveyance infrastructureExperience in proposal writing and job scopingFamiliarity with BIM, CAD, and Hydraulic Modelling platformsContract Administration certification (MMCD, CCDC, etc.)Excellent written skills needed for technical reportsValid BC Class V Driver's LicenseExcellent attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clientsComfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environmentAdditional InformationSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
