Dovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Accountant, located in Halifax, NS.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Function

Key Responsibilities:

Maintaining the general ledger accounts and/or developing or reviewing financial statements and reports. Reports may include financial and operating statement reporting for legal entities and/or operating companies in the group, periodic financial reporting including weekly reports, standard variance reporting, performance summaries, quarterly review reporting.

Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Performing all necessary accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards.

Working with external auditors during the audit process.

Requirements

Education:

Post-secondary Business degree in Accounting or Finance required.

CPA (or equivalent) designation, or 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience of relevant accounting work experience.

Pro-active approach to problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Ability to work as team.

Advanced Microsoft Skills.

Strong attention to detail.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
