Job Description

Are you a motivated and professional accountant seeking a hands-on role where you can contribute to the full cycle of financial activities for a prestigious company with over a century of progressive business in the Greater Halifax/Dartmouth area?

As Senior Accountant with our notable client, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy and integrity for the companys day-to-day financial records while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision making. This is a full-time, permanent in-office role based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Key Requirements for the Job:
  • Full cycle accounting
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Sales tracking and work order reviews
  • Financial reporting
  • Expense tracking
  • Inventory management
  • Month-end closing
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting is preferred or other equivalent training/career experience
  • Confident professional with a self-motivated work ethic
  • Ability to take charge, assess workflow demands, and delegate
  • Independent and reliable while also being a collaborative team player with management
  • Proven experience establishing and implementing processes and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
