Position OverviewSenior Advisor, Business Strategy - Montreal, Workplace: BDCThe Business Strategy team is excited to announce a new Senior Advisor/Strategy Lead role. In this role you will collaborate directly with the Director of Business Strategy and the AVP of Business Strategy & Client Success to drive high‑impact projects and workstreams that shape the direction of our business. Opportunities for learning, training, and development.Responsibilities Lead various corporate‑wide projects involving cross‑functional teams. Take full ownership of strategic workstreams from framing the problem to delivering outcomes. Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, contributing to long‑term strategic planning and business transformation efforts. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights, align on priorities, and drive execution with discipline and autonomy. Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives stemming from the COO strategy, defining methodology, scope, and work plan. Conduct research and data analysis to deepen understanding of the organization, business lines, market environment, and specific sector needs. Contribute to the content development of COO meetings, off‑sites, SMC and Board meetings. Prepare and facilitate workshops for senior leaders.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business/finance; graduate degree an asset. Five to eight years of relevant experience; experience in a consulting firm and/or working with SMEs is a plus. Team player who adds fun and camaraderie to the workplace. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. High level of comfort with ambiguity, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Growth mindset and coachability. Keen interest in economic and business trends affecting SMEs. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight, conflicting deadlines. Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; ability to create high‑quality presentations and strategic documents for senior leadership.
