We are the Games, Entertainment, and Technology (GET) team, comprised of highly skilled Software Engineers and Tech Artists with deep expertise in the Unity platform. Our team is dedicated to leveraging our industry experience and technical knowledge to elevate our gaming customers' projects to new heights of visual fidelity and performance.

In this role, your day-to-day work will involve managing customer projects that range from one week to over a year. You will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with other industry veterans on critical, performance-sensitive projects that showcase Unity engineering excellence.

This position may occasionally require travel to other Unity offices or customer locations.

What you'll be doing

  • Work directly with external game studios to analyze and optimize CPU/GPU performance in our gaming customers' projects.
  • Contribute to the team by delivering high-quality code that demonstrates Unity's performance and graphics capabilities, enabling our partners and customers to achieve success.
  • Keep your skills and knowledge current by analyzing Unity source code.
  • Build close relationships with Unity's internal development teams and advocate for developer feedback to positively impact Unity's roadmap.

What we're looking for

  • Proficiency in at least one graphics API (e.g., Direct3D, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal) and shader language (e.g., HLSL, GLSL).
  • Ability to develop and debug code within a large, multithreaded C# or C++ codebase using a multi-platform engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal, in-house).
  • Expertise in profiling and analyzing performance using popular industry tools such as Nsight, PIX, Razor, or RenderDoc.
  • Experience in shipping multiple games or other real-time interactive applications, with a solid understanding of the game development lifecycle.
  • Clear communication skills for conveying ideas and technical knowledge.

  • Experience in delivering training or technical talks and writing technical articles.
