Our EQ Bank digital platform has been named one of Canada’s top banks on Forbes Worldwide Best Banks list since 2021.The WorkFraud strategy & analytics:Bring fraud prevention roadmap to fruition for the digital bankIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate emerging fraud trends for banking and cardsAnalyze large data sets for fraud trends, patterns and behaviorsDevelop fraud reporting to identify fraud trends and develop strategies to minimize fraud lossesIdentify potential fraud control gaps/opportunities, assess benefits from improvements, and build the business case with Associate Director to implement changes to improve fraud controlsIdentify opportunities for driving operational efficiencies to mitigate fraud losses & manage costsFraud monitoring & data management:Work closely with core teams to set up performance monitoring agenda and frequencyDevelop reporting to track performance of fraud mitigation tools, cost and other indicatorsContinuously optimize and improve performance in line with latest fraud trendsManage fraud data to enable rapid tracking and monitoring of trendsWork with Technology teams to ensure relevant data pools are available for robust management and tracking of fraud dataIncident response & management:Work with fraud operations and other teams to identify incidents and latest trends and support response management to incidents by working collaboratively with cross-functional teamHelp to develop and maintain playbook for response to fraud incidents, where possibleEffectively engage with business partners to scope and design holistic response to fraud incidents, and work with partners to implement plansLet's Talk About YouMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM technical field with robust understanding of data-structures, algorithms and computational complexitiesMust have 1+ years of coding experience (Python focused, but language agnostic)Must have 1+ years of SQL database experiencePreferred 2+ years of experience in fraud strategy & operations, data analytics, risk management, and knowledge management in the financial services spaceSolid understanding of trade-off between fraud mitigation and customer experience across banking, cards and different payment channelsStrong preference for experience related to Canadian banking & regulatory environmentBachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, quantitative field or equivalent; Masters degree an advantageProven record working closely with different lines of business, influencing and collaborating in cross-functional teamsExcellent conceptual and critical thinking skillsStrong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal skillsPlan, manage and action project plans and initiativesExperienced in analyzing and solving complex business problems, including ambiguous problemsStrong analytically-anchored problem solving skills, with a solid background in data analysis, interpretation, reports and presentationsSQL, Python, R, Power BI or Tableau experience preferredWhat we offer [For full-time permanent roles]💰 Competitive discretionary bonus✨ Market leading RRSP match program🩺 Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits📝 Employee Share Purchase Plan👶🏽 Maternity/Parental top-up while you care for your little one🏝 Generous vacation policy and personal days🖥 Virtual events to connect with your fellow colleagues🎓 Annual professional development allowance and a comprehensive Career Development program💛 A fulfilling opportunity to join one of the top FinTechs and help create a new kind of banking experienceThe incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto, ON.
