We are searching for a Recruitment Specialist to join our dynamic Recruitment Team to support recruitment for our Cape Breton and Antigonish communities. This role offers flexibility, as the successful candidate can be based in Cape Breton, Antigonish, Halifax Metro, or Colchester-Cumberland, while maintaining strong regional connections. Regular travel to Sydney, Eskasoni, and Antigonish will be required as you build relationships and deliver exceptional recruitment experiences. You thrive in a role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make an impact. You Bring A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field 1–3 years of recruitment experience, ideally in a high‑volume or fast‑paced environment Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite Experience in healthcare, hospitality, and/or a unionized environment (considered an asset) Great organizational skills, adaptability, and a solutions‑focused mindset A proven ability to identify, attract, and engage candidates who are passionate about improving lives and supporting seniors in quality care environments Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation (or actively working toward it) is an asset but not required A valid Nova Scotia driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle Comfort with regular travel to Sydney, Eskasoni, and Antigonish About Us It all began in 1988 when our Founder, Joseph Shannon, purchased a single nursing home in his hometown of Sydney, Cape Breton.
